QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
The following are the basic qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
The following are the preferred qualifications:
- One year of technical school or maintenance certification
- Certification of completion of Microsoft Excel course
The following are the basic qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
The following are the preferred qualifications:
- One year of technical school or maintenance certification.
Experience
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Minimum of one year production experience, maintenance or military.
The following are the preferred qualifications:
- Two or more years of production experience in food industry or chemical industry, maintenance, or military.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add subtract multiple and divide without a calculator. Ability to calculate proportions, decimals, fractions, ratios percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Experience and ability to troubleshoot technical equipment problems such as valves, pumps, agitators, conveyors, elevators, motors, tanks, mixers, and process instrumentation.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and mathematics.
- Experience using computers that operate equipment, PC’s, and Microsoft

- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Process Operator II
SUMMARY
- This position is responsible for operating sugar-processing machinery associated with the functions in Affination, White Side Centrifugals, Press Floor, Decolorization or Liquid Sugar.
FUNCTIONS
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Knows, and observes all Standard Operating Procedures, safety procedures and rules, environmental practices and GMP guidelines.
• Responsible for operating and maintaining sugar processing and peripheral equipment in the assigned area according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for troubleshooting all problems that occur on sugar processing and peripheral equipment and requesting mechanical or electrical assistance when needed.
• Responsible for cleaning, inspection and lubrication on all machinery within their scope of authority.
• Responsible for process quality and Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. Performs quality checks at prescribed intervals to ensure the best quality products are being produced. Initiate documentation and provide signature to verify compliance with all required quality & SQF checks for the assigned area.
• Responsible for the cleanliness/Five S of the area assigned.
• Perform duties with minimum of supervision.
• Knows, and observes all Standard Operating Procedures, safety procedures and rules, environmental practices and GMP guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
• Writes work orders
• Writes near miss safety reports
• Completes all necessary documentation, logs and data sheets
