DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for safely and efficiently operating various heavy equipment and vehicles used by Operations Support.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.)        Perform duties and tasks as directed in an expedient, safe and cost effective manner

2.)        Accurately generate and maintain all required documentation pertaining to job

3.)        Clean and organize work area

4.)        Follow all prescribed policies, rules, procedures, and applicable regulations

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have successfully passed the TOST/Ramsay test
  •  Ability to read, speak and write English.
    • Must be able to read and understand posted safety procedures, posted work schedules, design plans, elevations, and, but not limited to, operator’s manual(s). 
  • Ability to follow proper safety and housekeeping procedures pertaining to the job.
  • Ability to work the posted schedule with overtime as necessary.
    • This position may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Ability to work anywhere within the company and in variable/extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work with others and or alone with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate information pertaining to the job.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions such as:
    • Heavy lifting, climbing, sitting for long periods, squatting, bending and working from heights
  • Furnish and utilize the necessary hand tools to perform required job functions such as, but not limited to: filter changes, minor repairs and equipment maintenance.  
  • Ability to identify material types and calculate quantities needed to perform specific tasks.
  • Ability to pass Operations Support sanctioned field test(s) pertaining to the job.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must fulfill at least 2 of the 3 following job specific requirements and pass sanctioned field test:
    • Must possess class A CDL with a minimum of 2yrs experience, in the last 5yrs, operating lowboys.
    • Ability to operate excavator, with a minimum of 2yrs experience in the last 5yrs, performing the following tasks: finish grading, installing culverts, sloping, and placing rip-rap.
    • Ability to operate motor graders, with a minimum of 2yrs experience in the last 5yrs, and understand watershed grade for washout prevention.
